This game STILL keeps me up at night, both from the awesome gameplay and the psychological after effects haha.

the friggin hardest part of that game was the end whenhe huge monster keeps going back into the water when he is standing on the pier... beat the game with the help of my ex... first time i played it i shut it off once i got out of the cell and saw the monsters n shit. this game should have won several awards... being as it had one of the best story lines i have seen in a lon.... hell, in forever! never got to play the second one though, i pawned my playstation... i hope to see more games or even movies like this in the future... THE SUFFERING, the movie? now that would be a film worth watching!!!!

the game was crrepy, but the only thing that really got to me was the Infernas. they scared the piss out of me.

my favorite were the marksman. how they'd emerge out of the ground tied to execution posts then break free and come after you. i forget what those two are called but ya its a fucking freaky game.

I actually know almost all of the monster's weakness to the game, thats how I beat the game with no problem, but it took me half way through the game to find them out.

if you wanna not be AS freaked out and just enjoy killing things id say just put on cheats for never dying and full ammo... its really hard if you dont have those but its possible to beat the game. but i once played the whole game no cheats all night long in my pitch black room.
fucking freaky as hell and to add to it there was a fucking lightnight storm outside.
but yes all in all its a good game.
