So remember about a month ago when I posted a journal and said I was really excited about working on a pic? Yeah...this is the one A month! A month! I know a lot of people put more time into their art and stuff, but this is the most time I've ever put into a single project!

But I have to say that after doing this I've learned three very important things. 1) Never do a picture with ten people in it again. 2) Backgrounds never get easier. 3) Never attempt a project that requires depth again. I can't see depth to save my life. I blame the astigmatism

Anywhos, about the pic itself: I thought it would be loads of fun to do the DP girls as princesses I was originally starting to doodle the princesses in DP style because that's frankly the only style I can draw and then Jasmine started coming out looking somewhat like Paulina so I scrapped that and went again, this time purposefully making her look like Paulina

But of course everyone knows how I am and doing random things (aka I don't like to do them, everything's got to have a reason) so...I came up with a little piece of dialogue to explain this scenario (and more importantly, why Sam's actually agreeing to the whole Disney princess thing )

Takes place after PP when Danny and Sam are officially together. Val and Danny are all good and friendly and actually work together and she actually agreed to date Tucker. The guy with Jazz is named Michael. He's my "canon" boyfriend for Jazz, since she deserves a guy. At first I wasn't going to put her in, but the thought of putting her in the Ariel dress was too tempting

As for the dialogue...

Sam: This is the last time we let Paulina and Star plan the Costume Dance.
Danny: We let them in the first place?
Valerie: Well, we'll get back at her when we plan next years, right Sam?
Sam: Rocky Horror Picture Show here we come!
Tucker: Will the school actually allow that?
Sam: If they allow this torture they should allow that.
Danny: Better question, will they allow that?
Sam: Of course. We struck a deal. There's a reason I'm dressed as the worst of the princesses...
Valerie: I knew there had to be a reason...
Sam: I be Snow White, give her free reign as Jasmine so we don't, heaven forbid, come as the same princess, and I get to choose next year's theme. I figured it was a worthy sacrifice in the end…

Though apparently she’s still not happy about it

Anywho's enough ramble! Hope you enjoy it, especially after all the work I put into it! I know that the hands look bad, positions look stiff, depth is bad, background is horrid, it's fuzzy for some reason (probably all the resizing I had to do to get all the character sets in the picture ), and just...loads of other stuff, but you get to a point where you really don't care anymore... But please, do be nice. I did spend a ton of time on it and this is actually the first time I’ve drawn Valerie, Star, Paulina, Dash, Kwan, Michael, and Jazz (though she’s been doodled a few times, the rest haven’t ). So…take that into account please!
