I think the bit with thomas crossing into our world ruined the film for me, the rest was interesting...but I think Lady should be the only one to jump worlds

slight probelm there is the fact the barriers were breaking down meaning anyone could potentially use the magic railway and lady would never have been "fixed" without thomas going through the magic railway
the whole "special" island of sodor coal thign could have been left out though making your above bit possible but then ruining the plot of the whole film making the chase scene no longer exist thus cutting the movie down to roughly a standard five minute episode
sorry if that sounds harsh, was not meant to sound the way its ended up

no mate, I understand...but it just the whole crossing between worlds as a plot in anything is kinda weak to me...
but meh, I cant do anything, just wish they could have come up with something better than that for the film... but its still good.

welp BMM was sort of a none-multiversal version with a few changes

blue mountain mystery was about an engine barely anyone knew existed and it was a journey to get them to emerge and the fact it started off with a crumbing bridge
