Captain's Log, Stardate 41153.7. Preparing to detach saucer section so that families and the majority of the ship's company can seek relative safety while the vessel's stardrive containing the battle bridge and main armaments will turn back and confront the mystery that is threatening us.Moving at Warp factor 9.6, the mighty Galaxy-Class U.S.S. Enterprise-D initiates one of her capabilities; the saucer-secondary hull separation. This has got to be one of my top favorite moments from The Next Generation. A maneuver that was unheard of and highly un-recommended, but AMAZING to look at, especially with the theme playing in the background.
