UPDATE: I think simply "Darth Carn" might sound better.

I used a variation of my Sith persona as my Art class’ final project. The assignment requires you to take an item and a photo reference of yourself, and draw something including those references to tell a story about yourself. I don’t have any personal items in my small apartment space, and there are only 4 existing pictures of me in existence on my hard drive and online. 2 have me in a hood covering my eyes and the other 2 have me in a gas mask obscuring most my face. But then I thought to use 2 items instead; my battered Old King James Bible and my big knife. I think it gives the sense of “Executioner of Judgment” and an intimidating figure well enough. My teacher allowed me to carry an unsheathed blade in class with people for reference purposes. Then again, this is the same teacher who uses human skulls as still lifes for other classes. I wonder if they’re from dead students.

I made this from graphite to put the contour lines and charcoal to shade it. I had to tweak some things after I scanned this in since the paper wasn't completely flat when I took the picture with my camera. I wasn't able to get a better shot of this pic, so I made some tweaks on my own, like that knife arm which looks a bit too long.
