Description
This past weekend I was an exhibitor with my club at the World's Great Hobby on Tour show which was here in Houston at NRG arena. I took plenty of pictures while I was there including this curious thing which was on display in Lionel's booth. Clearly it's a Milwaukee Road S3 class 4-8-4, but I've never seen one done in the Hiawatha scheme before. Doesn't look too bad although I think they could've gone a little darker on the gray. This engine is O scale.Related content

Now that's something. I will say it's not unusual to me though. I've seen an NYC Niagara painted up in Union Pacific two-tone grey.
Here's something for you.

Overall, the paint scheme is very nice. I just wish the gray was a little darker. Meh, whatever. I also noticed that over at Trainworld, this is on preorder... for $1,530! Yeah, I'll just go order three of 'em right now.

You do that, 5000$ seems like a good investment into a fictional Milwaukee engine.

I went to the World's Greatest Hobby on Tour show when it was in Charlotte, NC.

Well, in the catalog, Lionel did say it's a "what if" paint scheme. I'm sure they'll darken the gray before they start shipping these to dealers.
