Say hello to my new OC, Nick the Coastliner Cab Coach! He is a modified Intercity 125 Mark 3 coach that can carry passengers, baggage, and has a cab for the driver. This enables Roderick to run push-pull service on the Northwestern Coastliner, eliminating the need for him and the whole train to turn around at the terminus. He could be considered as Roderick and Frieda's younger brother.

One day, Roderick pulled into Vicarstown with Nick leading. He introduces himself to Mavis, who was shocked at the fact that a coach was powering the train. Frieda explained to her that Nick doesn't have his own engine; he uses Roderick's engine as power and he's merely another set of controls for the P42.
