Probably the best colour combination in the world, but..This is just a practice piece for a Painter noob!
I didn't draw the line art, it's just one of the thousand amazing works of .. I just coloured it, and I have to thank Artgerm for the great source of inspiration he is, always!

For the hair, I started with the shadows in a rough way, then I did the reflections with little brush strokes, and at last a little touch of dodge tool in Photoshop..
For the book, to be honest I don't know, I've always tried to understand how to do by looking at great artists' masterpieces..
