It is hard to know what Darth Vader must be feeling behind the mask, unless you read thoughts in the comics and novels. Suffice it to say that, should he come across Lincoln Loud outside in his pajamas and learn the story leading to it (either through sheer intimidation or draining knowledge via the Force), there are bound to be mixed emotions.

Anger? For what?

There was a time when such an injustice would have caused Vader to barge in and make the perpetrators pay. But no more. Anakin Skywalker is dead.

Should he be angry over such negligence and incompetence? Perhaps. He's certainly made his displeasure clear with many officials and underlings within the Galactic Empire countless times, and those living have learned not to fail him again. But such domestic inconveniences are beneath Vader's notice; let the local authorities handle that.

Pity? Sith Lords do not pity anyone.

And yet, there was a time when Vader had suffered such privation in childhood before Qui-Gon Jinn came along. Watto may have beaten him a few times, but at least he appreciated Anakin's talents, even treated his mother Shmi well. The Dark Lord couldn't remember a time when the Toydarian forced him to sleep and eat his breakfast outside.

Then there were children whom the young Jedi had encountered with tales of suffering on their faces.

But once more, Vader would remind himself that the past should be remain buried. He showed no pity to Galen Marek when he trained him from early childhood—under Darth Sidious' orders—so why should he feel any for an insignificant boy?

Curiosity? Lincoln has certainly piqued Vader's already.

If this boy should show any signs of Force-sensitivity upon closer inspection, then he may prove useful. This time, however, the secrecy would have to be in earnest. Fortunately, the Emperor and his spies are much distracted by this war with the Rebel Alliance; no attention would be paid to what Vader does within the walls of Bast Castle on Vjun (or Fortress Vader on Mustafar, if we're going Canon). So much the better…

Only time, probing and testing will satisfy the Dark Lord's curiosity… until Luke comes into the picture.
