This is really nice-- I'm really impressed by your usage of CG skills, here. The profile on her face does look a little bit off, however. Maybe making it less-straight would help? (not sure if that explanation helps...)
On that note, I really like the background- A LOT. It's rare to find manga artists on dA who do such great backgrounds- and I believe it goes greatly with the composition!

the digital colouring is very beautiful, however the profile loose squished, and her eye seems to far forward.

This was a little confusing for me XD It took me a while to realize it's a sword (it is a sword... right?). Mayhaps adding more of a silver color would make it more identifiable. The bright spot in the center doesn't look like a "shine", which I'm assuming you were going for. It looks like a giant flare spot. Toning it down and making it more subtle would have a good effect on it.
