I could smell him coming into my box before I saw him. He smelled so soft and sweet, like a little foal.
And he brought me an apple.
Somehow, he looked worried. I nibbled on his clothes and he stroked me.
'How's my precious today?' he asked me and I nickered that all was fine.
Each day my belly got bigger and bigger and I could feel the foal inside turning and kicking like it was on a meadow, running with others...
'You may not know, but I'm crazily worried about you. Each day I fear, something might happen to you or your unborn. Some other horse might kick you, or you step in a rabbits hole. I never feared so much - but now I can't help myself. Propably it's totally insane to fear so many things.
I nodded as wise as a young mare could nod.
Oh human... you should know, that you'll never know what happens next. And you can't protect me or my foal.
All you can do is to stroke me, to feed me apples, to talk with me when I'm alone in my box. All the rest will happen with or without you.
See, I'm as happy and excited, as you are. I can feel the day I will lie down in the straw and give birth to a cute little being. You all will stand here and be like headless chicken. And then, when it's all over, you all will be relieved and happy. You will name my foal and drink some bubbling, weird smelling water.
I enjoy every day thinking of it. I'm happy to give you so much joy. And I'm happy to be a mother again.
But please - stop worrying about things you cannot control. It only will spoil all the good feelings...
Let me be with the others on the meadow again. They all know. They will protect me. Never doubt them, please.

The mare was nudging him with her soft nostrils as if she wanted to say him something important.
Kir ran his hand trough his hair and sighed.
'Maybe I'm a headless chicken, Rai. Maybe I shouldn't doubt the others for harming you. Or the rest of the world.
I know what you want, heh.
I know, that as soon as I lead you out of this box and on the meadow you will enjoy the time there. But please, be carefull. I beg you. You're priceless to us.
The horse nickered.
Yep, okay, I've understood... time for the meadow, honey.

Both went outside and were happy, as happy a horse and human might be...

So yep, Rai's pregnant again...
And who wouldn't understand Kir's fears of the future. But a wise mare is wise and knows it better
