So I'm curious, does the sharpie actually print? I'm in a printmaking class right now and we're starting monotype in a few days. This is fantastic by the way. The value with the colors and the sharp linework works so well together, great job!

It doesn't. This is a thin piece of plexiglass, so I was able to draw on one side and print on the other. The issue I had with earlier works like this is that the ink invariably eats away at the Sharpie. You sort of have to separate the two layers to avoid this.
And don't be taken aback when you learn dry monotyping in class. That's what I was taught at first, too. Don't be afraid to experiment
