This is a subgenre of strategy video games which does not progress incrementally in turns. In an RTS, as in other wargames, the participants position and maneuver units and structures under their control to secure areas of the map to gather resource, build their base, upgrading their technology and ultimately destroy their opponents' assets.

Here, the player displays exceptional multitasking skill, overwhelming bystanders with them skipping from one part of the map to another to manage their forces at incredible speed. Though speed gives them advantage, what guarantees their dominance in the electronic battlefield is their ability to understand the opponent's motives and change their strategy at a stroke, staying one step ahead and claim victory... just as planned.
