hey guys!another abstract kind of mech im coming up with
i finished this piece this evening.....it is a bit out of date since it was lying in my hdd for at least 4 month now.... shame one me

*ahem* I happen to collect, paint and play Tau. ^_^ This looks nothing like them - as dasAdam already pointed out.

Well, aside from some decal issues and the missile launcher, the mech itself looks very Tau like. the coloration is there and the Armor configuration is almost there as well. more or less it looks as if the tau and humans could merge technologies and end up with this. (obviously I'm discounting the guy on the shoulder for purposes of this observation)
But regardless it's awesome! i would love to see more of these, or at least a full shot of one, maybe in action!

Dude just because i featured a similar color theme doesnt make it any more TAU
my mecha doesnt even feature the main characteristics of a tau
you may want to take a second look to realize the main features

Look at the boxy style of the shapes throughout the whole body. look at the characteristic antennas of all TAU mechs there. look at the special red dot eyes. Look at the overall proportions which are really human like
and now compare it once again with my piece here.
First of all my mecha doesnt feature any of it. second! look at my broad shoulders and the slim hip area.
It differs completly compared to a TAU
So your main points are still just the color and the "almost" matching armor configuration? You even put aside all facts which object to your overhasty conclusion of the mech looking like TAU.
Dont get me wrong but i think this is just a poor observation.
Is it due to the fact that you didnt come across many different styles and designs regarding mechs and robots? Cause people tend to compare all they see with just the stuff they are familiar with.
I really appreciate that you dig this work of mine! i really do! But i just had to disagree with ya

Ah~ Reminds me of my Armored Core days..!! *rummages thru pile of games* I'll be playing it again..as I see the spirit of mechs to be truly beautiful. x3
PEFRECT details btw. The white stripes gives me the impression that the hey-I-want-to-customize-my-mech type of pilot is running this baby. awesomeness. just..pure..awesomeness..

Everything is wonderfully done.
The white designs on the left should be a little
darker in the shadow areas. They kinda jump
out too much. But everything else is very good. I
really like how you used the creamy yellows
to unify this whole drawing.
