Develish bovine, looky here , coloured art O-oStill if i had spend more time with it i guess i could have made it a teensy better. Oh well it whas more of a fast one realy. The idea popped in and mostly my ideas just stay on hold but this time i just made it and tadaaa.
So what is it you say?? Well our wonderfull friends of Nintendo are making a game called Splatoon. More info here www.nintendo.be/nl/Spellen/Wii…
Now i wished i had a wii U
Basickly it's a shooter with paintguns BUT you can also transform in a little squid. However the aim for the win is painting as mutch of the level your fighting in with your teams coloured paint.
So this idea popped up where either this is a form of melee combat XD or it's a tie break and they do a 1vs1 battle
Looks like pink somehow has found a power up or something and is using a big automated paintbrush XD This is not gonna end well for the other one

Best part about using paint is that that they need to clean themselfs afterwards , or let it be done by someone else

Exactly, and as my girlfriend once told me: paint gives this constant but very subtle tingling sensation while it's on your skin, or at least on your soles. She knows because, several years ago, when bored, she tried it. She's very ticklish so it gave great results.

Exactly. She's told me some of the stuff she did when bored. One time, she tied her own feet up, spread peanut butter on them nd let her dog lick it all off for 10-15 minutes. She discovered her most ticklish spots were her arches and in between her toes that way.

I'm late to comment, but man...I ABSOLUTELY love this! hehehe glad people are already pouncing these cuties! First of all, I love the scenario! Just it's them trying to decide who wins a tie breaker. heheh of course tickling! And using the brushes was a wonderful idea! Even more with them inked and covered~ Hehehe
But just the poses are wonderful! I love their positions and the way the toes are curling and the feet are positioned, it is all wonderful! I really love the shoes still being in the image, cast aside! And the upgraded tickle tool was also a wonderful idea!
Not to mention excellent job on the squid girls design! They look fantastic and just over all man, I'm loving this picture! You did amazing! XD

Well your not the only one , i gotta say some stuff to works i have in my dev stacks. It's always a matter of time before stuff pops up of something thats gonna be imens popular. Like i said the web already has some awsome fan art of them. Yea love the idea to decide who will win with a fun and cute tickle scenario.
Thanks i tried to make it as good as i could. Shoes and socks on the sides is always a big plus ^^ I kinda wonder how she got the upgrade when laying down and pinned like that XD that item must have spawned very close.

Loving the idea of such a thing as well, so darn cute. Not to mention fun and messy...I'm gonna stop there. Comfortable looking poses and very bright and colorful like the game it represents. ^^ Have to admit the game itself does seem fun, shame I don't have a Wii U either X3

Pssh you should have seen the some other art from movies or games that weren't out yet with only a few screenshots of it. Am shure am not the only one who would tought of something like this. Plus i do hope it does get things rolling and see some more of it ^^ I beleive there are other artists out there who realy can bring there cuteness even higher out like say chaz , he would totally rawk making one.

Hmm 3 to 4 days i think. I dunno if i would be faster if i worked with a tablet instead of paper/pencil. Plus it also depends on myself i guess , one day i sketch it. Another day i try to ink it perhaps a little base colour. Then spend some days shading it all until am satisfied with the result. I can't do a piece a day like some do unfortunally.

Well it IS Nintendo, being cute is the basis for all they do XD If you ever open commissions, I want one. Or we can even art trade if you want. I know my stuff ain't up to scratch compared to yours but XD;
Depends on how much time I have, I normally start and finish something in 2-3 days. But being on this shift pattern, its not gone too well for me XD; I started a picture on Monday, and right now I'v'e barely gotten the lineart done. Lucky me I'm off the weekend! 8D

True ,shifts can be a hassle when trying to do stuff , even normal life things like going to the shop and all.

Awk shut it, you've just been mobbed by life itself. Life sucks and this is a great way to combat that and escape it! Still it can feel overwhelming so you're still doing great when it comes to churning something out dude :3
Yeah, thats why I do try to keep the same shift by swapping with folks but then those shifts can feel stale and repetitive and I feel like I have even less time XD; I can't win!

Hmm a few days realy , a few hours for sketching , on another day also a few hours and colouring a bit on another day. I can't make art like others in a few hours. It's becouse i still use pencil and paper , scan in and ink that rather then others use tablest , sketch that out and can ink it instantly.

Tickling of the Splatoon girls? Well we didn't need to wait long for that, and I'm glad! For one, the characters are very cute, and two I'm glad you were the one to draw it. If I would like to say one thing about your art, it's that I really like your take on the overal anatomy. I really like how you don't make anime characters too thin, and too edgy. I really like how, for example here, the girls look rather realistic proportions wise. The colors are very nice too. the skin tone is creamy and adorable, while their hair and paint is just very pleasant to look at hehe. Background and discarded footwear is just icing on the cake, and I'd say 10/10 on the cuteness scale. Great Job!

Hmm well i dunno what style it is realy , they look toony and not too anime'ish so i just took a bit of a free normal look style to it. Or at least i tried.
Well i whas going for cute instead of the usual hard torment stuff tough have to admit i had a tought about it aswel. Not too happy about the bg tough. Meaby if i put some more time and work in it then it would look a lot better.

Footprints in the paint? Gah that sounds so cute XD I can imagine those girls running around barefoot making little prints here and there hehehe. Also don't be too hard on yourself with the background. It's nice in my opinion, simple but makes me think of the game and the whole paint battle. ^^
Also, you and MostlyFunStuff made me wanna draw those girls toooooo. I think I'll plan something for them hehehe
And lastly, no problem. I think that good art like this deserves proper feedback ^^

True and don't forget there are boys in it aswel. Yea would be se cute in game to see that then again it would make it harder to cover your tracks if you sneaked past the first line to colour there base
Plus gotta think , once the match is over they need to get cleaned up and what better way to realy clean those feet then some good brushing XD
Yup that is what i whas going for , some painted bg fight. Do find it a tad messy tough, might have used a wrong brush for that.
The more the merrier XD
