Spider-Man!!!"FINALLY "Dashing" Tony Drake, HAS COME BACK TO DEVIANT AAART! (And this time, I'm not alone!!)
I'm finally done with College (Finished my final paper last month), and now I have time to cosplay a bit more and take new pictures! I called my good friends André Freitas (Who was one of my biggest inspirations to cosplay super heroes and the first Spidey cosplayer I've ever met back in 2009 or 2010... maybe even before!), Cláudio Francis (An old friend from Cons) and Uiberon (MY SPIDER-BOYFRIEND) and got a photographer (My good friend Ludmila Monteiro who took some of my Harry Potter pics) and VOILÁ, here is the first of MANY photos of my newest project: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE, featuring not one, not two, not three but FOUR SPIDEYS goofing around, fighting each other, being sexy, climbing stuff and being heroic!
I'm soooooo HAPPY with the results! I hope you like it as I do!

Well, Peter starts his career as a hero during high school in Comics, and the calls himself Spider-Man there too, so I don't see the problem at all. At least this time the actor looked like a 16 year boy, instead of a 30 year old man pretending to be on this high school days (And that happens on almost every single high school movie produced in the USA!)

eventually peter did go to college and actually became a spider MAN in the comics...but my issue...oh my issue...IS THAT THEY KEEP MAKING PETER YOUNGER IN THE FILMS!!!! DAMMIT AND I WAS JUST GETTING USE TO ANDREW GARFIELD!!

Well...for an origin story it makes sense... and Peter was younger on the Ultimate Universe..

And well, after all Tobey was a bit older during the second and third movies, Andrew was older too...

truth is truth...but it's not just peter MARVEL seems to be making younger....IT'S NEARLY HERO WE KNEW!! AND THEY'RE NOT EVEN NEW HEROES, JUST OUR BELOVED ONES AND MARVEL'S MAKING THEM YOUNGER!!! *ahem* there's a difference in replacing captain america with a younger body when and if he dies, but to have someone completely just overhaul him WHILE HE'S ALIVE with a younger person, or having fully and almost erasing ms. marvel (carol) with a younger girl....IS BLASPHEMY!!! MARVEL should start making new heroes we can all enjoy and heck, they could follow in the older generation's footsteps if they wish, but please don't just outright replace them with the younger crowd....that's like saying making captain america into a nazi was a bright idea...and trust me, it wasn't.

But I understand your trouble... I was PISSED when they made the whole DC Universe younger during the new 52.
And yeah, replacing good characters just to sell to younger buyers is bad, I agree with ya!

*exhales* oh thank god someone understands me without wanting to tear my head off. there are some younger heroes i do like...like the younger robbie reyes (ghostrider) and miles morales (spiderman). they have a lot of character and truly add to their older counterparts, but as a young person i can truly say this....younger heroes...kinda don't appeal to me.

I like younger heroes (The New Teen Titans are BY FAR my favorite group of all time), but even more than that, I like GOOD STORIES! That's the biggest problem for me, when they re-imagine a character but can't keep it up. Miles and Kamala are still here because they were well written.
The biggest problem is actually the "change". Because "change" in comics is HARDLY EVER permanent, so we feel like we lost our favorite characters for a year and in the end, it won't mean ANYTHING. Like when Bucky became Captain America. It was a great idea, the character had potential and then BOOOOM, Steve is back and NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
Miles and Kamala on the other hand held themselves pretty well, I'm hoping the other characters work out too. We have space enough for all of them, we just need good writers to make us want to have them all!

I've heard of this problem and trust me, I totally agree. Like now, Laura Kinney just became the new Wolverine (I hated the idea in the first place. Logan's my main man.) and just the other day, I heard LOGAN'S BACK!! SO WHAT THE HECK WAS IT ALL FOR ANYWAY?!!! A lot of MARVEL fans are getting tired of the ol' back and forth game and are slowly going back to DC for their better storylines and characters.
Take "Batman; Bad Blood" for example. Instead of replacing Bruce with Dick as the new Batman all together and killing the old man then resurrecting him in the end, they had him missing for months while a younger man took his place. No dead-then-alive-again rigmarole.
Oh, another new character that I'm not dealing too well with and apparently, neither are the fans, Riri Williams, the new Iron Man. I rather have the son of Tony Stark (if he had one) take up his father's mantle rather than some new person and worse, a WOMAN!! Please don't get me wrong, as a female, I have nothing against women, but there's a line to cross when you replace one of my favorite characters with someone else of the opposite sex. I think they said she was suppose to be a villain character in the first place, but I dunno...

Well... I don't have trouble with a woman as "Ironman" (Because well... She's Iron Heart, a new character being published in the Iron Man Comic)...but question: Are the stories good? I haven't read any of them so far.
