My area in the US allows them with nearly zero restrictions. It's at least one good thing about this state.

He is so cute here - reminds me of my silver fox, Ruby, who liked to occasionally sleep on my chairbed (see photo in my "fox photos" gallery). I love his bandana, too!

It's just a bright purple collar that we got him.
I don't know if he's allow us to put a bandana on him. x3
Ruby and Aurora are really cute, too. ^^

Ah, I see. At that angle, it looks like a bandana!
And thanks!

Would a 6' or 8' fence stop him? and when he's out side, do you have a pen or somehing more?

He has a large 10'x10'x6' pen of his own so he can have an area all his own.
In his case, our 6' solid wood fence has stopped him when he got into the back yard a dozen or so times by accident. I don't think it'd hold him for long but in these little cases where he was out, he wasn't really determined to get out.
He could scale it in a second if he tried. I know because he can scale a person in about a second too. Lol.

Do you live in the city? And do you let him loose when you go on walks?
Sound like a tonne of fun!

I live in a real small town.
I can't take him on walks, though. It's illegal for some reason. ><
Even though no one here would mind or report me, I'm still not supposed to take a chance with it.

Indeed he is.
Owning one takes some getting used to because they get into everything and jump everywhere but it's a great experience ^^

^_^ I've heard that red foxes and arctics have a strong skunky odor to them. Do greys have the same thing? And does your fox live mostly inside, or mostly outside?
Sorry if I'm pestering you. I can never find good info on grey fox ownership. If I'm annoying you just let me know and I'll stop.

You're not annoying me or anything. You can ask anything you want. ^^
Onyx stays out while I'm at school so he's not getting into anything while I'm gone and is inside when I'm home. He also has just about no odor at all.

Awesome ^_^ Ok, last questions: Is owning a fox similar to owning any other "average" pet? (I've heard it said that a fox is like a nosy, hyper-active cat) And what are the hardest aspects of owning a fox?
Thank you so much for all of your help

They're like a cat in agility and such but I think he's more like a dog in temperament.
I think the hardest thing was getting to the fragiles inside before he did. He knocked off so many things when he was new here. ><
He's better now, though, because most things that can be knocked off are gone and he doesn't chew or destroy any items like a red would.
