Wallpaper size available as usual... I doubt anyone uses these but it gives me a good size to work with every time.

This has been my project for the last week... I scrapped and redrew and repainted and redesigned approximately every single thing at least once. I wanted to do something scifi, and didnt start out with a clear plan, hence the confusion. Anyway, it's my 7th digital painting, and Im very happy with it.. mostly because for the first time I tried to be conscious of bounce light, its the first time I've tried painting anatomically accurate humans, and I tried rendering a lot of new materials. The humans took a lot of photo reference and tweaking... which brings me to my next point. This is the last of the digital pieces I'm doing for my portfolio, for the college application mentioned in my journal. I learned a LOT doing these, but it's been incredibly frustrating because, I realize now, I simply dont have the foundational drawing skills to get it right the first time. These would take 1/4 as long if I did. And so, for a while, I'm stepping back from painting big projects like this... back to speedpainting, still life, and figure drawing for a while.

No specific character or universe pictured, but it feels a little Mass Effect.
