hmm just started checking out this comic and I have no idea about you're stories/canon or art really
but
may I ask how come some pokemon are humans and others normal pokemon?

There are 3 major species of beings in this; humans, pokemon, and gijinkas. Gijinkas are essentially a blend between humans and pokemon, displaying traits of both (such as tails and displays of scientific "magic" for lack of a better term) ie; Alcina does not have anything physical that specifically ties her to the pokemon Gardevoir, but she is still a gardevoir gijinka.
