Kenny got to the entrance early, to not by any chance have Irina be waiting for him.
He hastily greeted familiar faces, as they passed by, but he kept his focus on the entrance, waiting for the woman who captured his heart so easily.
And when she finally appeared, he suddenly understood why that scene was always such a heartfelt moment in movies.
She really stood out of the crowd - with her fire red hair, that minimalistic but glamerous dress showing off her elegant legs- WAIT.
EYES UP, KENNY.
He blinked the blush away and met her eyes, totally drawn in by her eyes. "You... you look... wow", he gently said and smiled at her.
Irina would smile back at him with as much confidence as she could possibly gather, because she also was really smitten by the sight that is Kenny.
Yes, he was certain that he was madly in love with her and he'd overcome his insecurities and shyness to tell her at last.
He offered her his arm, leading her into the halls, getting them a drink as a waiter passed by.
The later the evening, the more everyone enjoyed the ball. There was happy chattering and laughter from every direction.
The entrants proved to not only be elegant dressage riders, but also graceful dancers.
And Kenny with the woman of his dreams right among them. He didn't claim to be the best dancer, but Irina was talented enough
to make them a good looking pair. Even with all this glitter and gorgeous dresses around him, he only had eyes for her...
Lero had soon joined them on the dancefloor with a new acquaintance. He has happened to start a conversation with that girl who was
riding for Imperials, as he had just found out - Eline. She was fun and daring enough to join the stranger for a dance.
What a great night with so many interesting people to meet!
