How did I do this? Modding Brawl.
I downloaded a Shadow Queen animation from somewhere. Then used a Shadow Queen Peach mod which I helped a bit with. (Which was outclassed later on by the P:M alt.) Made a single frame animation for her. Then made the Galleom fight 2 arena playable in VS Mode.... By putting all the model data in a Final Destination file.
Finally, I just posed all these characters together. Along with using the Unrestricted Camera code. And that about wraps it up.

At the time I took this, there wasn't any characters I could use as one of the partners... I angled it, so there COULD be a partner off screen... Or I guess your explanation works too.

I love the picture, I'd love to see more artwork showing the fight on Deviant art, but this one shows the heat of the moment, just before the battle commences.
If I were to say one thing, I'd say, the Shadow Queen should be radiating an epic aura, or have some sort of presence that just oozes dread.
But you did a great work throwing it together. ^^

Well, I had to use what I had to work with, this is actually from SSBB, I used hacks to get Shadow Queen in there, and Shadow Peach. So there were limits, I however could thanks to animation hacks pose her however I wanted.
Although... I do wonder how a smash ball aura would have looked... Too bad though it never flashes purple. :S

*Looks around* This was all done in Brawl, thanks to hacking, and placing everything in place, I had to pose Shadow Queen Peach myself in a Brawl animating program, and edit the Shadow Queen animation to better fit the picture.
