Before he knew it, Aqua was struck. He tried to call out to her just moments before to warn her of the attack, but he was too slow. With every ounce of strength he had left in him, he pushed his feet into the soft ground and ran for Aqua.
“No nonono,” he breathed with every step. His mind raced - how could he have let this happen?
The enemy drew back his weapon, letting the Toa of Water fall to the ground with a watery thud. Warm, red blood spread out from under her. Her breath became shallow, pained breaths. She felt weak and unable to conjure enough of her elemental abilities to heal herself. She used so much of her strength already…
“You BASTARD,” Zaahir shouted as he ran toward Aqua. The shadow’d enemy turned to glance at him right before phasing off. Zaahir snarled, “Coward!”
He focused his attention on the Toa of Water, laying lifeless on the ground. His body trembled with fear - a first for him. He stopped right by her side and fell to the ground, his knees splashing up mud upon impact. He stared down at Aqua. She made no acknowledgement to him being there. Zaahir trembled. Nononono… he thought as he reached his hand under her head, tenderly.
“Aqua, I’m here,” he said softly, “Please… don’t leave me…”
So I had this really awful thought last night involving these two, and I was like, I have to draw this out.

And I did.

MEANWHILE, I STILL HAVE SAD MUSIC PLAYING AND I GAVE MYSELF FEELS, BUT I AM ALSO CACKLING BECAUSE I JUST BROKE MY OCs.
