Description
So I started this yesterday, and then I... kinda have been working on it nonstop lol This is what happens when I'm on break. ANYWAY.The Lesser Gods are a group of six deities who were born from the elements and given life by the Greater Gods. Like the Greater Gods, they cannot die the same way a mortal can, and if they do, they either go into a "stasis" or the reincarnate. Each LG has a godly name and a given name; depending on the god, they either refer to themselves as their godly name or their given name. For example, Leviathan almost always goes by the name "Leviathan" rather than his given name. The biggest difference between them and the Greater Gods is that the LG's have physical forms, where the GG's do not. While the LG's can change forms based on how they feel (kind of like shapeshifting), the GG's have no physical form and have to resort to possession or using a vessel to communicate with the living. For the most part, many of the LG's tend to keep a distance from the mortal world (which is Belial's doing), and any disagreements are kept away from the living.
There is a rumor that there is a seventh god, but no one has been able to prove it.
------
Attar (aka Lux) is the God of Symmetry. Born of light, they appear to resemble the angels of the Elemental's universe. Attar uses she/he/they pronouns, and tends to have a more gender ambiguous appearance, as they do not care what they look like. Attar tends to be a very quiet god, and they chose not to make an appearance to their realm very often. Attar is rumored to have been put into a stasis by Leviathan after an attempt to throw Attar off the Heavenly Throne, replacing them with Ryne, a commander from the Heavenly Army of Light. Attar does care very much for the angels in the Upper and Middle Plains, and has a soft spot for the Watchers (half-angels).
Leviathan (aka Abel) is the God of Selection (or god of choice, depending on how you want to interpret that). Leviathan is the most unstable of the LGs, as he does what he wants and when he wants. He resides somewhere in the Middle Plains, and has a deep hatred for all mortal life. While he has a following of many different creatures, Leviathan will chose to ignore his following and send them out on missions that would result in their death. Leviathan has many different bloodlines that stem from him and has his favorites that he chooses to have live with him - Eden being one of them. (As a refresher, Eden is the one that defects to Belial's following). He controls the Tree of Life, a tree that connects the realms and beyond. However, Leviathan cannot control all the portals, as his power is limited by the Greater Gods. Leviathan also has a deep hatred towards the Greater Gods, and his ultimate goal is to destroy them, the world, and the rest of the Lesser Gods to become the Only God. Leviathan's alternate form is that of a sea beast.
Asmodeus (aka Celine) is Belial's twin and is the God of Ardency. Contrary to the Asmodeus of our world, Azzy is a kind hearted god who loves engaging with the mortal world. Azzy uses she/they pronouns, and is more gender ambiguous in design. She takes on a more feminine appearance to counter her twin's more masculine appearance choice. It is rumored that Asmodeus' lover is Din, the commander of the Shadow Allegiance. She has no known heirs. Asmodeus frequently disagrees with Leviathan, despite them being close on the pantheon. Asmodeus, in the current plot, has gone missing; Belial claims that he can no longer sense his sibling, meaning that she is in a stasis or Leviathan found a way to eliminate a Lesser God.
Belial (aka Lael) is the most "human" of all the gods, and recognized as the God of Nature. He is modest and is, perhaps, the only god to have lost his god-ship during a fight with Leviathan after the "death" of his twin (Leviathan was able to capture and put a seal on him, claiming that Belial loved mortals so much that he should just become one). While he maintains the vast majority of his power, he has lost the ability to reincarnate. Belial, like his sibling, frequently disagrees with Leviathan, and often tries to bring his intentions to the attention of the other Lesser Gods, and even has gone as far as trying to petition his removal from godship to the Greater Gods. Belial spends a lot of his time trying to keep tabs on Leviathan, while maintaining a following and protecting the mortal world from any harm. Most of his following are individuals who used to serve other Lesser Gods. Belial looks as if he is distant, but to his close companions, he is fairly passionate (he's the most expressive around Eden, Araqiel, Rahab, and Ridwan). Belial is the youngest god, despite being twins with Asmodeus.
Mikhael (aka Valentino) is the God of Judgement, and like Belial and Asmodeus, does actually engage with the mortal world. He may have a realm that exists in what is equivalent to the Underworld and works closely with Mephistopheles, but he's actually a fairly caring person. He took in Asmodeus and Belial before they were fully promoted to being gods and trained them. He has a soft spot for Attar (and they act like brothers). He disagrees with Mephistopheles often and has a grudge against Leviathan, but will find ways to either agree with them or seek a mutual agreement. Mikhael was the first of the Lesser Gods to go missing. Leviathan takes the credit for his disappearance, claiming that he and Mephistopheles drowned him in the River Styx.
Mephistopheles (aka Tan) is the God of Life, and sits on a throne that ultimately separates whether souls pass through into the afterlife, are reincarnated, or are destroyed. For the most part, Mephistopheles keeps to himself and usually has his followers do his bidding. Out of all the gods, Mikhael and Mephistopheles are the only two gods that Belial trusts enough to try and convince that Leviathan is up to no good. However, as much as he doesn't seem it, Mephistopheles sides with Leviathan and mostly supports him in trying to restart the world in his own vision.
