Woa, triiiippppyyyyyyyyy. U took the ceiling off, right? Or its supposed to be glass? Cuz if it is, put glass Also, for more, realistic lighting, the dock needs actual lights instead of just the sky light. Looks really good though, like the texture and the ship and the little barrel carrier thingy, looks good.

Mmm. The key is to make sure that the lights 1. Cast Shadows, but, 2. That only the proper objects cast shadows (ie, u dont want the light bulb casting a shadow do you? That wouldnt be right, cuz although it doesnt actually make the light, its supposed to look like it does). I find when ur trying to figure something out, as in how to do it in 3ds Max, just look at how it is in real life, and ul get the hang of it. Thats the beauty of 3ds Max, everything more or less works things do in real life, but in a more simplified manner really, as the rendering engine takes all the real calculating out Same thing applies for animating too, do you animate? Its fun, I highly recommend Anyways, good job so far, look forward to seeing this all nice and lit.
