It seems that even Nintendo themselves forgot that. Completely destroys the ANGST of Meowth's back story. We already have Pokemon that speak human natively, but now we learn that all Meowth can walk on their hind legs. Next Pokemon will be using Pokeballs to catch their own kind and go on a journey to become a Pokemans Mastur!

Jynx are always female, even though there are female Mr. Mime. If it helps your case you can still get a male Gardevoir despite its new male evolution, which is just as bad.
