Nope, I live quite a bit south of the equator -- if I lived near the equator, you wouldn't see the south celestial pole, which is the area on the central left of the photo where the stars appear to rotate less. Near the equator, you'd see more star trails!

I dunno, it would be fun to start up a ghost pants culture or something. And if you're not wearing a black jumper, unless it's summer it would probably be chilly.
