I am trying really really hard to improve my art and concentrate on lighting and backgrounds. If you see anything I could improve on, please let me know!
Drawing the mane and tail like this was kind of a pain, but I like it sooo much better then how I used to do them....

Location: very very north

Here we see Yule chillin in her homeland, taking a rest in an ice cave. These frozen caverns make great shelters, though rare, and remove the hassle of having to dig out a snow bank. The mare is on sabbatical from the army for a whole six months, and has spent most of her time in the north. It has been a long time she she has been here, and Yule is sure there is more to discover.
She's trying to find the rare sort of plant that shows its face in deep winter. Through her research she has theorized the tundra plant may have paralytic properties, something she has been intrigued by for a long time.
Yule is not traveling as lightly as the last time she came this way, while we see her cloak, old sword, and two tomes resting in the corner she also has sled piled with supplies; such as a cauldron, many vials full of herbs and salves and potions, firewood, food and drink and so on. It has been a long time since she has been to this treacherous area, and Yule wanted to be more then prepared for any situation.
