Looking herself in the eyes helped keep her focus and continue despite the intense desire to take a break.

"Don't you dare quit.." She felt more sweat drip down her face as her hips kept bouncing up and down.

She didn't quit. She couldn't have beared to look herself in the mirror if she did. Her mind was filled with determination and desire to succeed.
