This is for my friend Hallor on Tumblr! (*SirLemoncurd here!) She requested Sherlock as Slytherin. <333 I added John as a Gryffindor.I also ADORE him as a Slytherin! I have so many reasons why I'd place him in that house but I don't want to totally bore you guys.

Anyways. SOME of you will disagree and that is cool! To each their own. But nothing will change my mind.
Anyways, I can see Sherlock hating most of his house because they are such idiots and John playing Quiddich and Sherlock dragging him off for adventures and John loving it of course.
Anyways, I ramble!
PS: No need to comment if you just disagree with my house placement.

I'm not fighting, because this picte is amazing, but just as I am a Slytherpuff, I see Sherlock as a Slytherclaw. The sorting hat would explode trying to sort him and he's probably just go to Slytherin XD

I don't know, Sherlock has a serious thirst for learning he could just as easily be a Ravenclaw but I see the Slytherin in him. LOVE Watson as a Gryffindor though. My gut feeling for him would be Hufflepuff purely because he just /looks/ like a Hufflepuff, y'know? But Gryffindor suits him much better.

I've seen a lot of people put him as a Ravenclaw for obvious reasons, but I'll admit I prefer Slytherin for him (your reasoning is pretty much the same as mine).
And I can understand why people sometimes put John as a Hufflepuff, but Gryffindor does seem the more appropriate choice.

Oh, John is definitely a Gryffindor. His overwhelming loyalty and bravery, plus his love of adventure? He's a Lion through and through.
Sherlock has always been a tossup for me though, Ravenclaw or Slytherin? He's so easily both, but I love him as a snake. It's sexy.

I think Sherlock, like Harry, would have the choice between Gryffindor and Slytherin. And since he doesn't chase power and chooses to help people, even though he can turn off his empathy switch... But, he would make a great Slytherin.

I had a HUGE discussion with a friend on why Sherlock was a Slytherin and not a Ravenclaw... but it basically boiled down to this: Sherlock learns and retains things he considers useful to himself. Not relevant? Deleted. He uses his cunning and cleverness for his own means. Ravenclaws learn for knowledge's sake and would retain things for the love of learning. Sherlock doesn't acquire knowledge for the love of knowledge... he does these things so he won't be BORED. It's a very selfish and a very Slytherin reason.
