Description some days ago I watched an interesting TV documentation about the chernobyl disaster which inspired me to do this

down to the present day there are people living in this zone of alienation - it's a 30 km exclusion zone around the site of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor disaster from 1986.
To me it's really incomprehensive that some people are living in this zone nearly alone and without power and pure water. Except one truck who comes along every week there's no possibility to bye food or anything else...

zone of alienation part I | zone of alienation part III

I like it!

As soon as I saw the thumb, I thought of Chernobyl. To think that there are still people livving there, makes me wonder how can drive people to leave their homes.

If you like this kind of environment, try the PC game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.! It's a great shooter game, with an immersive universe.

Hi,

Sepia was a great choice for this shot! The shot definitely gives that feeling of isolation. Unbelievable that people would remain there. Well done!

Oops! It just had those brown tones and I thought it was sepia. I'll have to say I have not experimented with infrared much. Very interesting feel it gives to the scene.

I'm not sure if it was because of the filter, but the colors really do emphasize the lack or shortage of human activity there. Nice shot.
