"Honored Master." Said Anala. "One of the collars has failed and a gifted one is on the loose."

The Captain of the Skrull patrol ship looked at the blue skinned redhead on the visi-screen. Were it not for her pointed ears she'd have passed for one of the thrice damned Kree. He knew "gifted" was the Roggian term for super powered.

"What 'gift' does this one possess?"

"I...do not know, Honored Master. I only know that a strange light was mentioned."

The Captain sighed. That was the major headache of dealing with a planet such as this. Because Rogg was such a secret the Skrull never kept any records or files on their dealings with the planet. No "paper trail" that could connect them. The only official information they had about Rogg was on navigational star charts. And even then the planet was referred to only by it's star name and position number. Never by its' name. A prisoner is dropped off and the only ones who know he or she is there is the Skrull who dropped them off in the first place. And, most of the time, any information about the prisoner was known only to the Skrull in question.

"Do you know who brought them?"

"I believe his name was Borrat, Honored..."

"Anything else I should know?"

"There, there is one other gifted one. They came together."

"Very well then. We should be there within the hour.

The Captain then ordered his Comm Officer to contact Borrat.

As it turned out there were five Borrats. Each with the ranking to be knowledgeable of Rogg

Four were contacted and none claimed to have sent anyone to Rogg. Before they could reach the fifth the patrol ship had entered into a parking orbit around the planet. The island on which the women's prison was located was scanned.

Nothing was found amiss.

Everything was calm as if nothing had happened. Outside the prison there were Handlers torturing prisoners in suspended iron maidens and sweatboxes. [The Skrulls had no way of knowing that those tortured prisoners were actually bound and gagged MALE Sentinels and that the Handlers were actually freed prisoners] Nude prisoners staked out. More nude prisoners getting flogged. [Actually they were all stripped Handlers. The floggers freed prisoners] And Handlers watching prisoners on various work details. [Again all really freed prisoners pretending to go about daily routines just in case the Skrulls did what they were doing.] Everything was as it should be.

But when they scanned the courtyard they discovered four Handlers surrounding an unconscious nude prisoner who was gagged and stringently hogtied. Two had bows and arrows and two had swords. All of them at the ready. The one called Ullrell, who was the warden of this facility, stood with them.

They zeroed in on the tied woman and the one posted at the Library Computer reported.

"She is identified as Alison Blaire. Better known as 'Dazzler' from the planet Earth. Status: Deceased."

"Deceased? Obviously not." The Captain stated. "What is she? Avenger? X-Man?"

"Singer."

"What?"

"Singer, sir. As in entertainer."

"A singer? Brought all the way out HERE? There better be more to her than that."

His subordinate cleared his throat. "She is a mutant who can change sound into various forms of light. The greater the sound the greater the light. The strongest manifestation of her power is a laser beam. This 'Dazzler' isn't a 'superhero' as the term is used on Earth. But she does associate with them. The Fantastic Four, Avengers and X-Men. Independants such as Spider-Man. On occasion she often finds herself acting as one. But she is first and foremost an entertainer. She uses her lights to enhance her performances."

"Must not be a very good singer if she must use a gimmick."

"Actually, Sir, she is considered to be a very good..."

The Captain gave him the LOOK which meant it would be in his best interest to keep his opinions to himself.

"How long has she been 'dead?'"

The computer officer cleared his throat again and gave him the date in Skrull standard.

"Curious. Very well. Let's land and get this over with."

After landing the Captain and four of his men disembarked and headed for the courtyard. The bridge crew was observing via the scanners' monitor screens.

Of course it was a trap.

The bridge crew saw a "Handler" suddenly glow, change form into Dazzler, and zap the Captain and three of the others with light bolts. The "Dazzler" who was bound transformed into Ullrell. And "Ullrell" turned into a stinking KREE! The Kree and three other "Handlers" immediately stripped the Captain and troopers of their weapons.

The second in command ordered the remaining fifteen Skrulls, himself included, to charge out there and save their crewmates.

The Skrulls charged in. Lila, the Kree, and two of the Amazons, opened fire. As did the Dazzler.

There was no question they truely had a fight on their hands this time.

And the outcome was in serious question.

For all of five seconds.

Dazzler had unleashed a dazzleburst that had no effect. The Skrulls eyes were protected. The Skrulls started shooting back and the Kree and an Amazon went down.

Dazzler shouted "CEASE FIRE!"

When the women stopped shooting Ali created a solid light forcefield to deflect the enemies' blaster fire.

The Skrulls were caught by surprise. They weren't expecting her to do a Sue Richards impersonation.

But they recovered and increased fire.

"Can't hold this for long, guys." Ali said. She was already showing the strain from the effort.

"Not to worry, Luv. I got it." Lila Cheney declared.

As the Skrulls, still fifteen strong, swarmed around them they suddenly found themselves...elsewhere.

One second they were all on Rogg and the next they were all on another planet. Before the Skrulls could even blink they, and Lila, were on yet ANOTHER planet. An ice world. An ice world on the far FAR opposite side of the Kree Empire.

Before Lila's feet could even get cold she was back on the previous planet where she left Ali and the others. The Amazon was checking on her fallen sister and the Kree. Both still alive. Ullrell was looking around in bug-eyed disbelief.

"Welcome back, Boss." Alison Blaire smiled. "Where'd you leave 'em?"

"Oh some place where they could cool off."

"If you could do that then why didn't you do so in the first place?" The Amazon asked accusingly. "My sister and this Kree could have been killed!"

"I couldn't 'port the Skrulls until I had 'em where I wanted 'em." Lila responded impatiently. "I didn't know how many there would be or where they were all at. Bloody hell there may STILL be some of those bastards running around loose."

The Amazon accepted the explanation.

"Now what, Lila?" Ali asked.

Lila smiled and everyone found themselves back on Rogg.

No other Skrulls were in sight.

Dazzler went into sound absorbsion mode and walked outside the castle. The other prisoners saw her but dared not do anything lest there WERE more Skrulls on that ship. Ali focused on the ship and could sense nothing but automatic machinery in operation. As far as she could tell the ship was empty.

Leaving the Amazon to watch Ullrell and the others Lila joined Ali at the ship.

It was sealed but Lila had no problem opening it up. The two mutants then entered.

They searched the ship from stem to stern and found no one. Ali and Lila then headed for the bridge where Lila manned the library computer. It really didn't surprise Ali in the least that her boss knew how to operate a Skrull computer.

"What are you doing?"

"Checking records."

"Trying to find evidence?"

"Yes."

Of course Lila couldn't find anything to connect Rogg with the Skrulls.

Lila then typed her own name to see how much they knew about her. She laughed at the result.

"What?" Asked Ali.

"I'm not on file anywhere."

"And that's funny, how?"

"Ali." Lila looked at her. "Think about it. These Skrull have been causing trouble on Earth for how long now? And with the exception of Reed Richads, and his lot, humans have never traveled further than the moon."

Dazzler got it.

"So naturally they would be curious about a rock and roll band from Earth that travels the universe as easily as crossing the street."

"Bright girl." Lila smiled. "Those blighters did send a Skrull to find out how I did it."

"He impersonated a member of the band?"

"Bartly's ocelot."

"Bernard?"

Lila laughed at the memory.

"Of course his cover was blown the instant he showed up. Didn't know about the bio scanner we keep for just such a situation."

"So what did you do?"

"Convinced him WE were Skrulls too. We used Iron Man's image inducer to..."

"Iron Man's image inducer? How did you...?"

Lila raised her hand. "Another story for another time.

"We used the image inducer to convince the spy we were spies too. We were on a mission SO top secret that if anyone found out, including fellow Skrulls, they would be put to death instantly.

"Needless to say we got Bernard back the next day. And we never had to deal with the Skrulls again.

"Until now."

"Wow." Ali said. "Anything on me?"

Lila checked and, "Mmmmm. Marked as deceased. Basic stats.....This thing is woefully outdated. Your picture is from your facepaint and rollerskate days. And I know you can do a hell of a lot more than flash lights and shoot a laser."

"Well thanks to Borrat and that hellish Sifter of his I'm sure my file will get a serious update soon."

"Ali!" Lila perked up. "You're a bleedin' genius!"

She then headed for the COMM/SENSOR console.

A little later, outside the ship, the freed prisoners, who gathered around it, jumped a little when the boarding ramp lowered. They all relaxed when Ali and Lila stepped out.

Then they all cheered.

Lila vowed that everyone would be returned home soon. But first she and Alison had to gather the evidence that would connect the Skrulls to Rogg. It would take a day or two but they WOULD return to bring them home. Meanwhile the prisoners were asked to find the radio room and see if there were any records of communications with the Skrull to be used as evidence. Lila and Ali then vanished.

Lila had located Borrat's ship. (Thank God she memorized the saucer's ID number on the bulkhead) It was still enroute to Shi'ar space. BUT not toward the planet that was Orlo Cin'Darren's base of operations. Nor the Throneworld where Borrat served as head of security for the Skrull Embassy. No. The saucer was on a direct heading for an automated waystation. No doubt to refuel and or resupply. Lila figured it would be another 17 hours before it arrived.

Plenty of time.

Lila and Ali returned to the Dyson Sphere. After a happy reunion with the band they had a meal and then they showered. Then they spent several hours in a tank of healing solvent. (Which had reminded Ali of a scene fron the 2nd Star Wars movie.) Their bodies now healed and unmarked they showered again and went to bed.

The next day the Skrull diplomatic saucer docked at the automated waystation. Once refueling and resupply was done it would be a straight on course for the planet that housed the dealer in stolen goods. One Orlo Cin'Darren. But as Borrat and Knorrn opened the airlock to gain entry they were startled to see Lila Cheney (blindfolded) and Alison Blaire on the other side of the hatch waiting for them.

"Lights on." Said the Dazzler as she flared up and zapped the two Skrulls flatfooted. And as they lay unconscious at their feet. "Lights out."

"Shouldn't that be 'Lights off?'" Lila asked as she removed her blindfold.

"Picky picky picky." Ali playfully retorted. "I never could talk trash. Spidey makes look so easy."

Borrat and Knorrn both awoke in considerable discomfort. They discovered they were bound to the Sifter. And that their eyes were pried open by eyelid retractors. But before they could do anything swirling, winking and blinking lights appeared. Then they heard Dazzler's voice.

"Relax, boys. You're not going anywhere. Just enjoy the show."

Unable to close their eyes they had no choice. Unlike the Sentinels on Rogg the Skrull knew what was happening. They tried to resist. And it did take longer. But eventually Dazzler had them in thrall.

"Have you taken others to Rogg?"

Borrat answered "Yes."

Ali smiled.

"Okay now listen very carefully. When you subjected Lila Cheney to the Sifter you discovered you were WRONG about her. She was INNOCENT of stealing the O'An Lamp. And Alison Blaire is NOT a threat to the Skrull Empire. She never was and she never will be. You took Lila Cheney and Alison Blaire to Rogg to cover up your mistake and prevent the Shi'ar from discovering you kidnapped innocent people in their territory.

Meanwhile Lila had deleated all records of herself and Ali from the Sifter computer. She found and destroyed their genetic samples too.

Once Ali was done with the Skrulls Lila subjected Borrat to the Sifter. Knorrn was ordered to go about whatever it was he and Borrat were going to do at the waystation.

Once the memories were extracted Lila and Ali high fived each other. Ali's hypnosis trick worked. Borrat's memory now showed Lila was innocent of the crime he thought she committed. And he took her and Alison Blaire to Rogg to cover up his supposed blunder.

Borrat was set free and allowed to do whatever he was going to do at the waystation. Once Borrat and Knorrn completed their tasks they were ordered to stand by in the waystation until summoned.

After putting on cold weather gear Lila, and Ali, went to the ice planet and brought back the Captain of the patrol ship. He too was subjected to the Sifter. Then he was sent back to the ice planet. With supplies. Lila had promised she'd return he and his crew back to Rogg soon.

Lila made as many copies of Borrat and the Captain's memory probe as she could. Once done Borrat and Knorrn were ordered to return home, (the Embassy on the Shi'ar Throneworld), with no memory of their encounter with Ali and Lila at the waystation. As far as their altered memories could recall they had dropped off two innocent victims on Rogg to cover their tracks. And those women were STILL there.

Lila and Ali returned to Rogg to find the Skrull patrol ship gone. An Amazon reported that all the Kree prisoners, (there was more than one), the Agua and the Vampri didn't want to wait. So they stole the ship. One of them, and it looked like it might have been the Agua, slew Ullrell before leaving. Fortunately she was alone, chained up in the sewer area, and thus no others were slain.

"Do you wish to see the body?" The Amazon warrior asked.

"NO!" Ali and Lila both replied very strongly.

"Let's just get this over with." Ali said. "I want to leave this place and forget it ever existed."

"Amen to that, Luv." Then to the Amazon. "Destroy the radio. I'm bringing the Skrull back and I don't want them calling for help."

"Why are you bringing back the Skrull? Why not leave them where you...left them?"

"Because if this works the way I hope it will," Lila said, "there will be an investigation."

"And if the Skrulls are found in a place where they SHOULDN'T be..." Ali added.

The Amazon figured it out. "It will help confirm their guilt. Very clever."

"Thank you." Lila said. "Once you destroy the radio have everyone gather. And bring one of the prisoners.

The freed were all gathered together in the courtyard. Fortunately every one had SOME kind of connection with the Shi'ar. Which made Lila's job far easier. Lila and Ali handed out the copies of the Sifter memory file to use as evidence of the Skrulls' connection with Rogg. Records WERE found in the radio room to add to the collection of evidence.

Then, while Ali unbound the prisoner, Anala, Lila told her to free her mates. Anala was startled when everyone just vanished.

On Throneworld, in the building where diplomats met, everyone was startled when a group of semi-nude women appeared out of nowhere. What happened next was in the hands of the ex-prisoners and their ambassadors. Lila and Ali 'ported back to the Dyson Sphere.

The Skrulls from the patrol ship were rescued from the ice planet and brought back to Rogg as promised. Lila told the Captain the Kree stole their ship. They didn't want to wait for her and her mate to bring them home.

Lila and Ali then went back to the Dyson Sphere. Thanks to those damned Skrulls Lila missed eight of her planned concerts. But there were others and they had to rehearse.

Borrat and Knorrn were relieved of duty the very day the prisoners of Rogg appeared on Throneworld. The next few days, throughout that sector of the universe, Skrull agents were exposed and captured. The patrol ship hijacked by the Kree women was destroyed by a Skrull task force. At least Skrull activities in the Kree Empire could continue without interruption. Warships from other worlds swarmed around Rogg and male prisoners were freed as well as those who were all converted into slaves of various types.

When the Shi'ar, and others, learned that Lila Cheney and the Dazzler were the ones responsible for exposing the Skrulls and their secret prison the cancelled concerts were rescheduled. And the turnout was far far bigger than originally planned. More concerts were added by other worlds grateful for the saving their citizens. And there were ceremonies to thank them. It turned out to be the best tour Lila Cheney and her band had at that time. And there were more adventures along the way as well.

But those are stories for another day.

"Picky picky picky." Ali playfully retorted. "I never could talk trash. Spidey makes look so easy."

Borrat and Knorrn both awoke in considerable discomfort. They discovered they were bound to the Sifter. And that their eyes were pried open by eyelid retractors. But before they could do anything swirling, winking and blinking lights appeared. Then they heard Dazzler's voice.

"Relax, boys. You're not going anywhere. Just enjoy the show."

Unable to close their eyes they had no choice. Unlike the Sentinels on Rogg the Skrull knew what was happening. They tried to resist. And it did take longer. But eventually Dazzler had them in thrall.

"Have you taken others to Rogg?"

Borrat answered "Yes."

Ali smiled.

"Okay now listen very carefully. When you subjected Lila Cheney to the Sifter you discovered you were WRONG about her. She was INNOCENT of stealing the O'An Lamp. And Alison Blaire is NOT a threat to the Skrull Empire. She never was and she never will be. You took Lila Cheney and Alison Blaire to Rogg to cover up your mistake and prevent the Shi'ar from discovering you kidnapped innocent people in their territory.

Meanwhile Lila had deleated all records of herself and Ali from the Sifter computer. She found and destroyed their genetic samples too.

Once Ali was done with the Skrulls Lila subjected Borrat to the Sifter. Knorrn was ordered to go about whatever it was he and Borrat were going to do at the waystation.

Once the memories were extracted Lila and Ali high fived each other. Ali's hypnosis trick worked. Borrat's memory now showed Lila was innocent of the crime he thought she committed. And he took her and Alison Blaire to Rogg to cover up his supposed blunder.

Borrat was set free and allowed to do whatever he was going to do at the waystation. Once Borrat and Knorrn completed their tasks they were ordered to stand by in the waystation until summoned.

After putting on cold weather gear Lila, and Ali, went to the ice planet and brought back the Captain of the patrol ship. He too was subjected to the Sifter. Then he was sent back to the ice planet. With supplies. Lila had promised she'd return he and his crew back to Rogg soon.

Lila made as many copies of Borrat and the Captain's memory probe as she could. Once done Borrat and Knorrn were ordered to return home, (the Embassy on the Shi'ar Throneworld), with no memory of their encounter with Ali and Lila at the waystation. As far as their altered memories could recall they had dropped off two innocent victims on Rogg to cover their tracks. And those women were STILL there.

Lila and Ali returned to Rogg to find the Skrull patrol ship gone. An Amazon reported that all the Kree prisoners, (there was more than one), the Agua and the Vampri didn't want to wait. So they stole the ship. One of them, and it looked like it might have been the Agua, slew Ullrell before leaving. Fortunately she was alone, chained up in the sewer area, and thus no others were slain.

"Do you wish to see the body?" The Amazon warrior asked.

"NO!" Ali and Lila both replied very strongly.

"Let's just get this over with." Ali said. "I want to leave this place and forget it ever existed."

"Amen to that, Luv." Then to the Amazon. "Destroy the radio. I'm bringing the Skrull back and I don't want them calling for help."

"Why are you bringing back the Skrull? Why not leave them where you...left them?"

"Because if this works the way I hope it will," Lila said, "there will be an investigation."

"And if the Skrulls are found in a place where they SHOULDN'T be..." Ali added.

The Amazon figured it out. "It will help confirm their guilt. Very clever."

"Thank you." Lila said. "Once you destroy the radio have everyone gather. And bring one of the prisoners.

The freed were all gathered together in the courtyard. Fortunately every one had SOME kind of connection with the Shi'ar. Which made Lila's job far easier. Lila and Ali handed out the copies of the Sifter memory file to use as evidence of the Skrulls' connection with Rogg. Records WERE found in the radio room to add to the collection of evidence.

Then, while Ali unbound the prisoner, Anala, Lila told her to free her mates. Anala was startled when everyone just vanished.

On Throneworld, in the building where diplomats met, everyone was startled when a group of semi-nude women appeared out of nowhere. What happened next was in the hands of the ex-prisoners and their ambassadors. Lila and Ali 'ported back to the Dyson Sphere.

The Skrulls from the patrol ship were rescued from the ice planet and brought back to Rogg as promised. Lila told the Captain the Kree stole their ship. They didn't want to wait for her and her mate to bring them home.

Lila and Ali then went back to the Dyson Sphere. Thanks to those damned Skrulls Lila missed eight of her planned concerts. But there were others and they had to rehearse.

Borrat and Knorrn were relieved of duty the very day the prisoners of Rogg appeared on Throneworld. The next few days, throughout that sector of the universe, Skrull agents were exposed and captured. The patrol ship hijacked by the Kree women was destroyed by a Skrull task force. At least Skrull activities in the Kree Empire could continue without interruption. Warships from other worlds swarmed around Rogg and male prisoners were freed as well as those who were all converted into slaves of various types.

When the Shi'ar, and others, learned that Lila Cheney and the Dazzler were the ones responsible for exposing the Skrulls and their secret prison the cancelled concerts were rescheduled. And the turnout was far far bigger than originally planned. More concerts were added by other worlds grateful for the saving their citizens. And there were ceremonies to thank them. It turned out to be the best tour Lila Cheney and her band had at that time. And there were more adventures along the way as well.

But those are stories for another day.
