... or maybe he'd gone straight?
He steeled his nerves, not allowing his sudden unsureness get him down. He was full of mangrit- this would be fine! Someone with as much manly mangrit as him could get out of anything.
So, he turned and began back down the hall from the way he assumed he'd come, whistling as he went in the hopes of attacting one of the trolls' or humans' attention.

For whatever reason, no matter how "angry" Karkat was, John found his mere presence extremely delightful.
