I mean, I don't think anyone would find me if I didn't," he giggled. "Plus I don't think anyone else really goes down that deep into the lab!"
Jade patted his opposite shoulder, giving him a look. "John, we all do. Doesn't it seem a little, y'know, funny that you're the only one that gets lost and Karkat is the only one who ever finds you?"

Jade, on the other hand, had moved her clasped fingers up to her chest. She had her large emerald eyes on the floor, doing well in faking her distress.
John looked at a loss, biting his lip a little harder. "Hey, c'mon, guys! Please please please don't look so upset!" He said, holding his arms out to them pleadingly offering a hug.

"JOHN! WHERE THE EVER LOVING FUCK ARE YOU?" Kerkat yelled. the roar- it was deffaning.

Rose stood stock still-"Did anyone ELSE hear that? what was that?" she asked the group.

Jade's white dog-like ears were twitching, her tail held intently up as she tried to catch-- "Whoa, those are some really big footsteps, guys!" She said suddenly, turning and giving them a wide-eyed look. "We really should get down there and make sure John and Karkat are okay!"
I'm sorry, I'm sorry! He mouthed repeatedly, closing his eyes as the beast's loud footsteps stopped suddenly outside of teh closet door. Just as John started to open his eyes the door was torn away- and with it, the boy. John let out a strangled, shocked sound as the beast held him up, looking him over with two large, glowing eyes; either set on a different head beneath a different helmet.
It looked like a mutant monster cow knight thing, weilding a large stone sword and grizzly claws. John paled imensly stock still in its grasp with a look of pure fear in his eyes.

John felt his stomach bottom-out when the beast began to lower the sword- then all at once shot forward with a surprisingly fast, surprisingly strong attack. No, no, no, no, was all he could think. They can't hurt Karkat, they can't!
There was a moment of deafening noise before a loud crash; that of the knight hitting the wall a good twenty feet down the short hall. The sword hadn't even had a chance to brush Karkat, which was the only thought passing through the windy boy's head as the air itself eased him back onto his feet.
"A-are you okay?" He whimpered, knees trembling as he looked over toward the troll, his long blue hood fluttering around the derp as wind gusted trhough the dead end hall- ready and waiting to aid him.

Rose followed Jade until finally, after a lot of twisting and turning, they found their way to a giant, a worried John, and startled/pissed off Karkat.
"Well. this was unexpected."

Karkat nodded at John, and shot a deathglare to Lalonde. "Well. Nice of you to show up, finally." he muttered. he looked at the sword, and a small idea hatched- maybe it could get stuck in the wall, giving them enough time to get John out of it's vise-like grip.

While he had summoned the windy thing in a second-long fit of desperation to keep Karkat from being hit, he couldn't focus long enough to put any real effort toward getting himself out of its fist.

Jade gasped, her tail drooping for a moment as she took in the scene befre them, along with the large sword laying at the open end of the dead ended hallway. She could hear Dave drawing out his cracked sword, but from the looks of this thing, it would take a lot more than that.

"Yes, John. try your best" there was a wavering to her voice.

Dave nodded slowly, readying his sword. John jerked nad pulled, managing to free his arms. He took a slight breath -what was supposed to be a deep one, but it didn't matter now- and with the exhale made a swift motion with one arm. A sudden gust of wind shot up from nowhere, shooting straight up beneath the knight's chest plate and lifting up the bottom, which he'd noticed, wasn't secured.
Dave shot forward, his sword making a hard plunge into the beast's gut. John's hands started pulling frantically at the beast's hand when it gave him a hard squeeze, grunting and stumbling. Jade used her space witch powers -she still had only a bit of a reign on them- to expand the sword; tearing at the knight's innards.
It finally dropped John, who jerked back with the wind supporting his light frame and took in a few coughing breaths of air. As the Heir of Breath, it was especially hard to go without breathing for him. Once he'd caught his breath as best as he felt he could at the moment, he looked up, watching the beast stumble and lash out blindly.

When John's feet touched ground again, his knees immediately gave out. He was nodding, though; assuring Karkat as well as the others that he was alright. The thick fingers had left bruising imprints around his entire body, obvious on his arms though mostly hidden by his shirt.
"You too?" He inquired, voice hoarse and eyes still a little moist as he looked up at Karkat. He still looked horribly guilty and apologetic.

Dave stepped back alongside Jade, watching as the beast staggered back another step before crumbling to the ground with a loud thud. They breathed a sigh of relief, Dave stepping back again so he was beside his sister and Jade sending worried looks toward Karkat and John.

Jade was standing with Rose and Kanaya the grisl facing eachother so John was visible in their periphrial vision. "He's like a lost little guard puppy or something~" She giggled softly, snow white tail wagging behind her.

Sollux whirled. "John. fix these wires." the blind one said. "I'll find that Fuckass" he muttered, brushing past Jade and Kanaya. normally, Karkat would have been back by now. would have. but clearly, maybe something bad had happened. maybe, or not. Sollux still had to find him- still had to bring him back. if he wouldnt hear from Aradia for so long, he would NOT loose Karkat too.
