"Well," he started quietly, biting his lip again -this time he could taste a tinge of blood and remembered they were fangs now-, "it's not so much stupid as it is kinda sad. So.. are the nightmares, like, every night? Or just most?" He was still laying pressed full against the wall, hoping Karkat would lay down, even if he wasn't going to sleep.

At first, John felt rather comfortable in his little dreambubble. It was a memory played up by his imagination; his thirteenth birthday. When all of this started. Except he wasn't grounded.
Rather, he was standing int he kitchen with his father, assisting him in baking his non-BC cakes. They were smiling and laughing and having a good ol' time.

Dave snorted, glancing around. "Pretty sure it was this way," he said, taking ahold of Sollux' sleeve to guide him int he right direction.

As the cake was being brought out of the oven, Dad cast his smiling son another look, though his smile vanished in an instant as the cake splattered at his feet. John took a confused step toward his dad, who, in turn, stepped back and grabbed for something -anthing- he could weild in his defense.
"Dad-" John began, but his voice was a startling sort of growl. He could feel himself moving rather than telling himself to. A snarl tore from his throat as he reached for his father, suddenly realizing his skin was grey and claws jagged.
John flinched in his sleep whne his father took a swing for him, missing completely but still forcing a shock through his uncontrollable son.

John began to clench his teeth, shoulders pulling up some as he tried and tried and tried to get a reign on himself as he leapt at his father. Images of his dead Dad flashed through the fighting and he could feel the warmth of the human's blood dripping off of his hands, his face, his body..
The flashes began to lessen as he made a mad snatch for control of himself. There was an odd sense of sudden calm washing over him, just like before..

The dog girl slipped into the room, noticing John's expression almost right away. "What's going on..?"

Dave glanced over his shoulder, realizing it was a large dersian imp with one large, thick metal talon-like hand. He tightened his grasp on the sword, slamming his shoulder intoa door and pushing Sollux inside.
"You stay in there, jackass," he said, pulling the door shut after him and taking a fighting stance.

Jade nodded slowly, watching them with her brows knit. John's expression seemed to be caught between calming down and trying to suppress fear his nightmare was obviously causing.
His Dad was no longer in sight, though that might have been because he was standing outside of his house. He was staring up at his window, watching his happy human self just waiting for his chance to go get the mail without his dad noticing.
Though.. when he came outside and noticed his older troll self, he freaked out. Joh nhad to wonder if that was what he really would have done- yelling and accusational pointing as he stumbled back inside and slammed the dor.
Either way, it made him feel wretched about what he'd become.

"Just dont make any loud noises, lest you want to die. waking a troll is a deathwish." he said, hoping she got it.He started to purr, ever so quiet; he was still pissed off at Strider for showing the rest of those freaking idiots he had a 'caring' side.

Thanks to his title as Knight of Time, Dave's movements were like lightneing around the beast. It only landed one good hit, cutting the Albino's cheek, but he ignored it as he decapitated the beast and kicked its body back into a bloodied, messy heap.

"Okay," she agreed softly, hands clasped in front of herself as she watched John calm further at the purring. She went to step forward, unknowingly stepping directly onto one of Gamzee's stray horns that had somehow gotten tossed into the room; starting as it released a shrill honk.
John's dreams were melting and shifting around him. He had fallen back against hte tree, sinking into a self-loathing pile at the base of it, when, all of a sudden.. he could hear Karkat. Just the simple thought of his best friend did wonders to calm him do-- HONK.

John's eyes were absolutely enormous and rather hazy. He'd pressed himself hard against the bed, blinking to try and clear away the sudden jolt of fear. He seemed to catch himself, taking in a sharp, shaky breath. "Uhm...??"
Jade was pale, having felt an unmistakable sense of panic when she made the noise. She'd.. actually expected John to attack her like Karkat had warned he would. She could hardly believe herself.

John slowly sat up, wincing with one hand pressed against his stomach as he moved. The bruises were now, thanks to his change in bloodcolor, a sickening sort of shade of blue. His eyes shifted between his ecto-sister and Karkat, having seen the look of fear in her eyes.
It only proved to make him feel worse.
"Y-yeah... thanks," he said again, favoring Karkat as he looked up to the younger troll moreso than his own kin.

Jade seemed a bit off-put by Karkat's hasty walking off without them when John was struggling to keep on his feet. The troll kept smiling, though it was forced, as he kept trying to keep up.

Rose dried her tears and Kanaya gave her a whole hearted hug. "I just.. want to be home and done with it. as much fun as ti was to meet everyone.. i want to be done with it Kanaya" the younger Lalonde said in a meloncholly voice.

"C'mon, Rose, it's okay.." He murmured. "We're going to beat the game soon and everything will be fine!" Though when his voice hit a certain point of enthusiasm, he broke down coughing into hte crook of his arm as the expansion of his chest twinged the bruises.
