Description
This sketch was done for a race of genetically-engineered vampire-like creatures for a sci-fi graphic novel. The race are known as 'Gaunts', and whilst they don't drink blood, they're extremely long-lived, heal quickly, move very quickly as well, dislike sunlight because it burns their white skins so easily, and they have little or no subcutaneous fat; hence 'gaunt'. It's probably fairly obvious this sketch was done not terribly long after seeing 'The Crow' for the first time, way back when it came to cinemas here in Oz, around '93 or '94.
