I don't know if its just me but when I look at Anvil in this I keep thinking you drew her without the shorts on without realizing it, and when you noticed you just went "eh", found an earlier drawing of jean shorts and then photo shopped them on. Everything is amazingly well drawn, so much so that if you sold it as a poster I'd put in for one, but those shorts just seem added on after the fact.
Maybe its just the huge difference in her skin tone compared to the shorts, and its messing with my eye's.

Beyond finding Anvil very visually appealing, it is also interesting to see her attitude and feelings with her body and having it seen.
Both in the strip and pinups, there's a lot of times where she's showing a lot of skin, and seeming quite comfortable with it. Β But, the recent strip shows she is aware how far away from the "standard female standard of beauty" she is, and gets at least annoyed by some resulting social backlash.
There's an interesting mix of pride / acceptance / confidence in her body, but still knowing she's not immune to emotional reactions to some of the negativity that society will throw at her.Β
