is that really made out of clay ? isnt that CGI ?
when I enlarge the photo I can see some copy\past lines on the bg ..

you'll note that they aren't copy/paste lines, part of the background was just blurred for some reason

For all of your curiosities, he's got a metal rod coming out of his neck and it's attached to the wood in the back. As for the blurred background, those are other design maquettes for Hellboy 2 that could not show in the pic so I had to blur them out.
