do you use zbrush for this? how did you make those details, do you use custom alpha brush for that?

Thank you. This was a ZBrush model that I rendered in ZBrush and then did some Photoshop work on top of it and for the background. Most of the details were all sculpted with several brushes and used some different alphas for the fine skin textures.

Was it you just let loose in the sculpting process or did you thoroughly concept before hand?

I did keep it very loose, just playing around with secondary forms, but I had a definite plan for the main forms and overall shape of him.
