Description
This is a skin tight silicone suit that was in 2 pieces, legs and upper torso. The hole in his chest was hooked up to a pressure pot that sprayed gooey black acid ( not real acid).This was done at Patrick Tatoupolas Studio and several people were involved in the creation of this character.

The designs were pretty true to the game, but we infused our own styles and ideas into them for the film. After the designs are approved, we take the creature performers and do head and body castings to build the suits and makeups on. We sculpted and fabricated the pieces for each character, molded them and casted them in either silicone or foam latex. We then fabricated all suits and then put the finished paint jobs on them. There's quite a few steps I left out, but that's the general process.

The game creators are the real designers, but we did the film versions.

I never realized how mottled and fetid the flesh looked in the movie. Not as sickly and pale as the Lying Figure from the game. Also, the LF's looked more like they were bound in flesh, but with arms uncomfortably [painfully] bound against the torso. This looks like it's ribcage has expanded to the width of where arms and shoulders SHOULD be.

Absolutely amazing, I really love how the monsters in the movie came out! It was also really cool seeing how they put the costumes on in the extras section of the DVD.

Thanks. I just wish that myself and the rest of Tatoupolas's studio was featured in there. It was very dissapointing that the people that created the creature suits got no credit at all.

This was by far my most favorite monster from Silent Hill. I loved the way they moved.

NOT your fault but my only problem with this was that these creatures were the work of james's mind in silent hill 2 and had no place in the first movies world! also these creatures were meant to be female figures bound by flesh again not your fault and i think this is amazing!

Actually, those of us that built those suits not only didn't get to go to set w. them, but also weren't credited for them either.
That happens sometimes in the film industry.
