Here's Antoine's first battle for 's pokemon league with none other than 's Baile.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIDORI KONEKO!!!

Ok, now on to bussiness...
Antoine was not a battler back home so this is his first ever, and so he thought it would be a piece of cake given he was a bug type and Baile was a psychic type (psychic is weak to bug). But he faces an opponent with a fighting style aside from regular moves, namely, Baile's dancer martial arts.
So here, he learns that battles are not just about the moves and that he shouldn't rely on type advantages. Although in the end his type advantage is what saves the day and he knows that without it he would have lost for sure.

I left the battle inconclusive since the judges are to decide, but that last X-Scissor has:
2x due to Psychic type's weakness against Bug type moves.
1.5x due to STAB
And an extra 1.5x due to Swarm, since Toine was damaged greatly by that Rock type move.
That's a solid 4.5x

I put extra effort into this battle because it was the first and i got carried away and also because currently there is no time limit. I may not do as well on subsequent battles. Please judges don't hold that against me by comparing subsequent battles to this one, because this one took me over a week.

Sidenote, haven't you guys noticed Antoine's hair seems to grow longer with every piece? I guess I’m still getting used to drawing him. No regrets though since hair grows and it works for realism , he’ll need a haircut soon lol.

And a final note to Midori, sorry if Baile is way off character saying what she says here, I know she should be a bit ditzier and sweeter, but given their conversation that led to the battle, full of "get ready to loose" type of comments, I thought she'd say something like this to rub it in Toine's face that she "would win (or so she thought if the judges favor me )" and why he was wrong to be confident in the beginning just because of the pkmn types involved.

In the end, regardless of the result, Baile teaches Antoine the lesson that gives title to this piece, and Antoine will seek now to learn some fighting skills aside from practicing his moves.
