for some reason, UC is my favorite... i think it may be partly because of commander von trapp..

One of my favorite bridge layouts. This, along with the Voyager, the Defiant, and the Enterprise E are my favorites. This looks fantastic!

For altering the databanks, Valeris should have been thrown out of one of the Enterprise's airlocks.

Wonderfully crafted Dave, show this to a non-fan, and they'll think it's official.

Who authorized those guys in the torpedo bay to have a glass of Romulan ale?

Probably one of the best looking bridges of the entire franchise.

I have to agree. Smooth, hi-tech and not so stupid as LCARS

I don't have any problem with LCARS, really. But I am starting to prefer my own interfaces finally...

Sweeeet. I always wondered why they didn't all have a clock on the bridge...

Thank you!
It's because a digital clock was way expensive back then.

No excuse. The Enterprise D and E didn't have clocks, nor did Voyager, the Defiant, or just about any other starship I can think of for that matter. No one has wristwatches either! How can anyone tell what time it is without asking the computer?
:/
For that matter, what's the deal with those PADDs? Always having to load them up and give them to people...

All to do with the headache of timing (no pun intended). Something like that is a continuity nightmare! Like the candle and the breadsticks in the restaurant scene in ST IV.

Kirk and Gillian are sitting at the table, when the cam is on Kirk the candle is short and there are 5 bread sticks on the table. When the cam is on her, there is a long candle and one breadstick. Same with the clock. The scenes would have to be timed perfectly (as they were in ST VI) Editors would go nuts.
