Description
My final version of the Polaris (but then again, who knows...). This is the Polaris for the so-called Lost Era, the one between TOS/TMP and TNG. She is a Nestor class starship, the light cruiser variant of the Excelsior class. This mesh was a bitch to build. It took more time than the Nehelania class because I had to completely re-think the Polaris layout so that it would work with the Excelsior design. I re-modelled the nacelles three times: the Excelsior nacelles were too long, the Oberth ones were too small, so I built the ones seen on an Excelsior study model.
So, now we have a Polaris for all eras. Yeahh!!!
Mesh by me

I might put a pair of those on the Hindenburg if she ever goes for a refit.

They made Old Terra proud with their defiance against the treacherous xenoes! Hail Dysnomia!

No, they are the ones seen on an Excelsior study model.

cancel my comment on the comparison piece. This ship is beautiful. You're right it does look like a cross between a Miranda and Excelsior class. I love this design.

ALL eras? what about enterprise? that one will be fantastic if you do it.
dont like this one as much, it seems too close to a kitbash to me. i would have sugested only a single impuse engine. it would also serve to make it look smaller than the excelcior

The first Fleet was established after the ENT era.
The mesh is not a kitbash, I made every polygon of it.

aww, it would have been cool to see an ENT era Polaris. although, it effectively would have been the NX-01 class, cause they were earth starfleet.
i didnt mean you had kitbashed it, it just looks a bit like it. hope i didnt offend.
also, is there any reason for the yellow stripes around the bridge, or just for decoration?

The yellow strioes were on the original Excelsior (NCC-2000). I added them because they broke the dullness of the white-and-blue texturing.

Jahh. És valami hebasz van renderelésnél. Lehet, hogy nem sűrűn lesz kép vele. Msjd meglátjuk, mester diagnózisa után...

You have more Polaris's (Polari?) than InGen has dinosaurs.

The Centaur Class had Excelsior Class nacelles and they were about the same size as this incarnation of the Polaris

Worth the effort and time you put into it though. I can easily see this slip into the Miranda Class spot like the Excelsior slipped into the Constitution's spot. Very well done.

Hate to tell you this, but you're not done quite yet. You're still missing the Ent-C era Polaris.
Great work on this one, though.

There was no Ent-C era Polaris.

Well, there damn well should have been. So far you've modeled a Polaris for every incarnation of the Enterprise, even the Phase II one, except for the Ent-C. I thought it would be only logical to fill this last gap.

I always thought the C era to be a transitional one, not lasting for too many for the First Fleet to scrap the Nestor to a new ship. They waited for the Galaxy era and built the Avante a decade before the Galaxy, actually...

Ent-C is lost era btw
Anything after Kirks presumed death on the Enterprise B to the launch of the Enterprise-D is considered lost era

Looks like the Lost Era is the only era the Polaris wont be bothered by a ship named phoenix XD But the Runner was commissioned in that era anyway lol

The Lost Era Polaris will be bothered by the Nehelania-Polaris. You'll see (but I need to finsh PTNG first...).

You should do a lineage Chart for the name Polaris Starting wit the TOS era to your most futuristic one.
