I have always loved the TOS and this is just AMAZING.

A wonderful job on this scene. Even if shuttle launches are routine lol.

Very nice picture. This is indeed TOS remastered! Looks TOS without looking horribly aged. Looks modern and still very futuristic.

Nice work.
Are shuttle launches simple?
Simpler than manoeuvring a starship I suppose...

Thank you.
The Trek crew always use shuttles with ease. As far as I know, most TOS shuttles are impulse-capable only, that's easier than Warp navigation.

i think they're capable of at least warp one. i mean, they have warp nacelles...

Those are not Warp nacelles.

look like warp nacelles. probably just called POWER nacelles...

Didn't Janeway say something about warp navigation, or lack of it. Good in a straight line, cornering's a bitch though. (I don't think she worded it like that though).

I think it was Tom Paris in that shuttle racing episode...

The quote I was trying to remember was:
"Faster than light, no left or right" or "Maintain a linear trajectory wherever possible while at warp speed".
It's from the Voyager episode Fury (that's the one where old Kes comes back and does some temporal trickery...or something).

I'm not going to nitpick over the little things here. I enjoy Star Trek, but i'm not a purist.
Its still a nice scene put together. TOS era Constitution ships seemed to be mostly white / light grey interior, while TNG era had more of the warmer beige interior coloring. I particularly like this blend of TOS hanger and TNG color scheme inside the shuttle bay. The lighting is soft and warm too.
Very creative and refreshing, doing something different from the norm

I'm glad you like it.
As for the purists: Trek is only a TV show

Cool, I really like this! Gives you a sense of "open space."
One thing, the shuttle in the back, should we see part or whole window or port?
Also, I like to see a scene like this featuring some of the other types of crafts shown on the TAS show. Like the Aqua Shuttle, land rover (per Argo), etc.

Hmmm... I have a Voyager hangar bay and maybe an Enterprise-D bay too. I think a mesh exists for the Aqua shuttle and for the Argo shuttle, but not the jeep...

Not surprising as it was used once.
Not really a jeep but called that in text book.
Had six wheels and used in the episode "The Jihad."

Nice lighting. The shuttles are off alittle in markings and a few other things like the formation lights (did not have them) and missing the tail landing leg. But this is still very well done. Did you do these or download? The hanger is great.

I have gotten a few things from them. Great stuff but can be off a little but I understand. Limits to making meshes with some programs. Great work!

Well, it's not a canon-named Shuttlecraft, but there are many things wrong with it:
The name of the ship should be in a cursive font,
The pennant on the side is a TNG variation instead of the TOS version. Compare your model with this screenshot: [link]
That should help!

Oops, the Boomerang shield
As for Canon naming: the Enterprise carried more shuttles, maybe one of them was named Tesla. Who knows...

LOL Yes, Starfleet used the Boomerang in the TOS era.
Hey, Tesla is one of my heroes so I'm all for naming one of the shuttles after him.

I'll correct the textures to the boomerang logos.
This shuttle (and its TMP era counterpart) was somewhat a gift from Buckaroohawk, he did not release it as of yet. I like this shuttle because it has a fully detailed interior, with some updates (like a traditional helm console similar to the one on the Enterprise bridge).

Sounds good!!
That's a cool detail that Buckaroohawk put in; Matt Jefferies (the guy who designed the Shuttlecraft and the Enterprise and a lot of other stuff in TOS) had originally wanted to make the Shuttlecraft control console to be exactly like the one on the Bridge, but they never got around to doing that.
