someone to look up to?children look up to their parents
because they are bigger than them and
because they have always been there to look up to
school children look up to their teachers
because they are bigger than them and
because they know more than they do
people look up to celebrities
when do we grow up?
when do we realise that no one is bigger than us
why do so many aspire to nothing?
people look up to bullies
because they are bigger than them
i prefer to look up to the trees
the seem to have something to say for themselves
they need no script, no auto cue
sometimes its better to say nothing

great image, and insightful thoughts. there are many ways to be 'big' - anywhere you can find inspiration (not in an artistic sense now, but inspiration to be a better person), take it ! whether its trees, rocks, frost, a baby's face..

For me there is always someone better than you for some things, but you're better than others on certain aspects, it's all about balance, I mean, you can admire an aspect, value or abilty of a person, even have respect for that person, but all of this without forget that we all are humans and nobody is perfect.
And yes, many admire the wrong crowd, or they admire things without real value, but we are not them.
