What was wrong with the film? Unpredictable exposure response? It's got some interesting colours and gradients in it, personally I like it

It's daylight film, but I shot this in an incandescent light.

It looks horrible in daylight, but it looks very interesting and warm in incandescent light, almost cross processed.

Problem is, 80% of the roll was shot in daylight.

100% positive. The secret is in the edge markings. In fact, cvs and walgreens film is the same as well now. Where did you get it developed and printed?

rite aid, I've gotten a lot of rolls done there, and mostly fuji also, none ever came out like this one roll.

But whatever, maybe they fucked up with the processing on this roll, wouldn't put it past them.

I really wouldn't trust them at all. I used to work for a company that merged with them. The machines they use to print with don't even use real photo paper anymore its more like an inkjet print. The particular model film processor that stores in my district got was prone to contaminating itself and jamming.....even when it was brand new, before anyone had a chance to mess it up.

yeah, I hate getting prints from drugstores, because the prints look like something printed with a $80 inkjet printer. Might as well scan and print them myself.

Are you speaking of those Noritsu beasts?

no. The ones that they gave our district were pixel magic, which is now owned by a different company, anyway it was 3 roll based dye sub printers, a 4 inch, 5 inch and 8 inch....and they SUCKED.
