Awesome!!!! Mighty fine work, Dave! It's going to be a huge relief to finally have her released and on the marketplace
after working on her for so long and how problematic she was with the constant clean-up! Looking forward to snatching
her up, though I might not get her on her release... must be saving for new a new PC and laptop. Needs must: must get
new hardware so I can play with shiny new toys in DS!

Yeah I'm putting it off... I hate doing all the reinstalling etc although I've got it down to a fine art now. Bet you can't wait.. Always nice to get a new toy.. I think she got overlooked, had to submit her a few times but sorted now and she seemed to go through with now alterations at all which is always nice. Doing promos for me new one now, get her in and underway..

When I'm formatting, I have it down to a fine art as well. Keeping all my important files on partitions,
I only need to reinstall my C drive, which I keep as just programs. It makes it much faster to get back
to work. A brand new PC with an entirely new OS is a little trickier and more time consuming when I
have to install all my programs while wrangling the quirks of the new OS and transfer my massive
runtimes! I'm still running Win7, so the upgrade to Win10 is going to be interesting! But it will be great
to have the reigns off and be able to do everything I want, without the limitations of processing power
or software.
It sucks that she got overlooked, but I'm glad you managed to get her back on the queue for release.
Very exciting to know you're already working on promos for your new project! No rest for the weary, eh?
Can't wait to see what you have planned next!

yeah its the best way..everything i have is on externals barring my programs. then each external has a back up external...think i'm up to 12 tb's now. Hate changing OS's, i'm on 10 now so hopefully i'm good for a bit but i get use to the others and they do insist on making things constantly different when they create a new one (for the best no doubt) but it messes with me head for a few weeks.
well i wish you good luck with the upgrade...like i say, always nice to get things all new...i'm seriously debating whether to lump out for a big old wacom...i sit here with a mouse painting away in zbrush with my right hand..baring in mind i'm a lefty..well bit of both tbh...funny thing is can't use a mouse in my left although i draw left handed...i just think it'd put a bit of fun back into painting my figures how i'd actually draw and paint..they're a lot of money though..i'll see how the sales go over the next few months i guess.. I WANT SOMETHING NEW TOO!!

Hehe, good to know I'm not the only one who has a backup of their backups! I'm up to about
12TB across all my drives too. This 3D thing has a lot to answer for with how much space it eats!
I don't have the secondary backup for all my files, but the crucial "I'm going to die if I lose this
stuff" is backed up on two different drives and then things like my master files for images I've
made (Poser files, PSD) are backed up again on DVDs. Once projects are finished and they are at
the "Won't be editing these again" stage, everything gets backed up on disc. Paranoia from years
ago when I was working on the family PC and it was faulty, so the hard-drive was always failing
and burned discs were corrupt - so no backups!
I'm with you! I hate changing OS's for the same reason. We get comfortable in the old familiar UI
and then when it's time to upgrade, we discover everything has moved, renamed or simply removed.
Win10 should be around for a while yet since they've only just stopped supporting Win7 this year.
Just another reason in a long list of why it's time to upgrade from my 6 year old PC. Baby has served
me well, but the poor boy can't hack it any more! lol
I think you can justify the expense of treating yourself to a Wacom tablet when you're doing so much
painting on your characters. You're using it for work, how you making your living from 3D assets! But
yeah, it's a huge hit to the wallet. I have a Cintiq 21 that I bought 8 years ago and it's the best thing
I ever did! These things, they're really built to last, so that makes the expense easier to swallow. You
don't need to update them every few years, like a PC. The fact they're cheaper now than when I bought
mine is an added bonus, but definitely sales will help bring the cost down.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that there's some kind of sale at Wacom soon and you can snatch up a
bargain. Maybe something in March Madness. I think I saw a sale around Christmas time, but that's a
long way off to wait for a new toy. WE ALL DESERVE SOMETHING SHINY AND NEW!!!
