This is awesome! The coloring was well chosen to further make the creature look as if this was a perfectly natural for it. The choices of where to make it thick and thin give it a nice weight to my eyes and the expression or lack there of, give it more a person look instead of a monster one. This is a being, mysterious perhaps, with its own thoughts and not merely some predator ready to rend life and limb as it look like it could do.
