This reminds me so much of the wild rose which is Alberta's provincial flower. (It's where I was born and a scent that my grandmother wore so it has a very special place in my heart.)

Hello Miriel
This is Rosa eglanteria L. – sweetbriar rose, it belongs to the same Genus... Rosa L. , which contains 105 species, as the plant you are refering to Rosa acicularis Lindl. – prickly rose. They are very similar!
