Very nice David - we don't have these here (I think) we only get the Pipevine Swallowtails. They are both such beautiful butterflies and kinda hard to capture. You done great!

I love the composition of this shot over the other two. Although I like the color in the other two for the swallowtail. Not sure but perhaps a pull back on the exposure in raw would deepen it. Also I have no idea what these look like. This could be the more accurate one and I am just talking out my pet donkey.

Thank you very much for the comments and critique... #1 was actually the most accurate color rendering, This shot was really not a good one blurring from the wing movement and the exposure as you mentioned almost canned this. I too liked the comp and the focus on the body of the butterfly. I actually did adjust the exposure in the RAW conversion and played around quite a bit in photoshop to get it to this point.
Thanks again for taking the time!

This is my favorite one as well, I love the composition of this one.
The flower is so delicate and the butterfly is very gently tiptoeing
across it's petals.....Well done David

Thank you Jim!

It was shot at ISO50... damn, I just noticed none of these shots have the exif data. They were shot in RAW mode and converted in photoshop.. for some reason it doesn't keep the info. Usually I convert them in Picture Project which retains the EXIF and then process in PS.
