Description
A third and last version of my General Grievous. I decided to take on the challenge of using nothing but MS Paint to create a presentable digital painting. The first digital version I made was with SAI, and it only took 2 - 3 hours to paint due to the modern tools it has. This on the other hand took a couple of weeks, and took some serious hard work. I worked on it on an on and off basis. I've always been a fan of the look and feel of 16-bit computer games, so that was the style I was leaning towards when working on this. I briefly studied an old-school technique called "dithering", because I decided to work with a limited palette.
Painted 100% with (classic XP) MS Paint.
* Update 20/06/12: Painted in a new background to try out a combined dithering and pillow shading technique, and some minor details to the mouth area.

Wow, this looks great, especially for being done in nothing but Paint!

Thanks and thanks for faving it. Working with MS Paint forced me to use a lot of creative workarounds. It may be powered by a hamster in a wheel, but I still have a soft spot for the program.

I keep trying to wrap my mind around how anyone does such beautiful work in Paint. Truly astounding every time I see it.

Thanks and thanks for faving it. I used a recycled pencil sketch of mine, of which I already made 2 previous versions of. I do most of my digital art with scanned sketches because I'm restricted to a mouse. But the whole paint and line job was made entirely with MS Paint. Took a long time to do though, came close to abandoning it.
